Well, the crochet heart face pads pattern is finally up here on Ravelry.
Editing all the photos for the photo pattern tutorial included was a feat which I didn’t expect to take so long. But it’s done and it’s taught me a lot about shots which are useful.
And as promised, here is the teeny heart pattern in 3 sizes. Written in UK crochet terminology.
Materials:
DK cotton yarn (I used Ricorumi in any of the red or pink shades)
2.5 mom crochet hook
tapestry needle (for weaving in the ends.
Biggest teeny heart :
Make magic circle,
Ch 1 to secure magic circle
Into magic circle, ch 1, 2tr, 1htr, ch1, 1htr, 2tr, slip stitch.
Pull magic circle close tightly. Cut yarn leaving a 3-4 inch tail. Weave/sew in ends.
Medium teeny heart :
Make magic circle,
Ch 1 to secure magic circle
Into magic circle, ch 1, 2htr, 1dc, ch2, 1dc, 2htr, slip stitch.
Pull magic circle close tightly. Cut yarn leaving a 3-4 inch tail. Weave/sew in ends.
Smallest teeny heart :
Make magic circle,
Ch 1 to secure magic circle
Into magic circle, ch 1, 2dc, 1 sl st, ch2, 1 sl st, 2dc, slip stitch.
Pull magic circle close tightly. Cut yarn leaving a 3-4 inch tail. Weave/sew in ends.
The smallest teeny heart is probably the trickiest. Making a dc AFTER a slip stitch is not comfortable, but it’s do-able.
Also, note for the largest teeny heart you only ch 1 to make the point at the bottom of the heart. For some reason if you ch 2 (like for the medium or smallest heart) you end up with a a more noticeable hole.
Happy hooking!
